'Murder in the Snow' Synopsis

There is an exciting climax to the ski jumping competition at this year's Winter Games. The world champion for the past 12 years has been the American ski jumper Watt A. Landing.
This year's event has been turned into a real battle between Watt and a British challenger, Eddie D Ostrich. Eddie burst onto the scene some years ago with his unsuccessful attempts to win a medal. However, following his £10 million Lottery win, he spent a fortune on training, top coaches and even built his own ski jump in the Scottish Highlands. Over the years he has clawed his way up the world rankings and now stands on the brink of the gold medal. All Eddie needs to do is to equal yesterday's jump to win the Games Gold and end Watt A Landing's domination of the sport. What could possibly go wrong?
A sporty murder mystery set at the Winter Games Village of Lappdansa in the Arctic Circle.

Albuquerque, NM. This was my first Murder Mystery Dinner as either a host or a participant. We played Murder in the Snow, I had planned for 11 people but 2 of my players couldn''t make it. We decided that they also had been murdered, by the same killer who killed Eddie. When other players had answers to the questions of these ''dead'' players, the living players just answered, it was very funny to get the answer but no questions.
I had food that was easy, the only cooking that night was the salmon on cedar planks, but other than that I had stuff pre-made, which let my husband and I really participate. I would recommend easy food. The few minutes away to grill the fish, was great for people to talk about their real selves. And, to ham up their characters even more.
Not all the friend invited knew each other and it was a really fun way to get people engaged, there was much laughing, and it was so simple to do. I will totally do this again. We are already planning an outdoors mystery bbq for the summer with 20+ people.

I hosted this party as part of a corporate ski trip. I had to adapt it for my own means and write in an extra 5 guests which took alot of hard work, but it paid off immensly. The night was a huge success and people played their parts perfectly. Half of the group did not know each other so was a great ice breaker. I would certainly do another.

Great names for characters and all the better for guests to use the accent for the character. We were on a skiing holiday so our apres ski wear did as fancy dress and some inspiration with a feather duster as a microphone got the party off to a good start.
We had children aged 8,12,16 & 18 also involved. The 8 year old needed some help from the host but being very outgoing amongst friends she still enjoyed it.
It made a great evenings entertainment which started with the first 4 rounds before dinner and the rest during dinner.
Everyone had their characters before the holiday which built on the excitement of the holiday and had the first clue early.
