Francis loves all animals and is a passionate vegetarian. Francis spends every day looking after the animals in the commune and is more comfortable around them than around people.

Greenleaves
the communal gardener
Greenleaves loves to be outside and garden. She grows all the food that is eaten at the Happy Earth Commune and is familiar with every plant or tree.

Harmony left Hollywood when she didn't become a movie star. She still spends her days, though, dreaming of becoming the biggest star that the world has ever seen.

Janet is a good girl who never likes to get her hands dirty. She is looking forward to marrying Brad and is uncomfortable with the free and easy ways of the commune.

Andromeda's helper
Moonbeam is Andromeda's biggest admirer and does anything to make her life easier. Moonbeam is known to pop up where least expected.

Piggy
the big eater
Piggy got his nickname because he is always hungry. He arrived at the commune soon after Big Daddy and quickly became his closest companion.

Rainbow
Big Daddy's girlfriend
Rainbow is Big Daddy's girlfriend. She insists that she isn't interested in marriage.

Rocco
the rock musician
Rocco spends his time with his guitar composing new rock songs. He loves all music and is trying to talk Shakespeare into writing lyrics for his melodies.

Rosemary
the communal cook
Rosemary has always prided herself on her cooking. The only person ever allowed into the kitchen is Greenleaves (who brings in the fresh vegetables). Like many cooks, she has a temper.

Shakespeare
the poet
Shakespeare spends his time writing haiku poetry. He says he finds it hard to concentrate on the real world, but every good writer is a good observer. He feels emotions very deeply.

Stone
the communal handyman
Stone is the one who fixes everything around the commune. He knows everyone's secrets.
