Ingrid is a very clever and very beautiful woman. She knows how to read runes. She runs the farm, her own property, very well. The large set of keys she carries is a sure sign of her power and prosperity.

Jasper the Jarl is extremely proud and arrogant. He prefers earning his silver the easy way: stealing it. That's the only reason he goes on the raids to Scotland. But he is foolish and the money seems to slip through his fingers.

King Harald's body lies ready for burial in his finest Viking long ship. He lived a rich life. He knew the art of runes, the songs of birds, and was skilled at board games. He left each summer with his knights, his Jarls, for the raids on the Scottish coast. His sword, 'Leg-Biter', was a symbol of his wealth and success.
