Chelsea never thought she'd end up at the City Ballet School. She wanted to be a gymnast, and only started ballet lessons to help with her gymnastics. It soon became obvious, however, that Chelsea had real talent and last year she auditioned for and was accepted to the school. Chelsea proved to have a bit of a temper (typical for any dancer), but was friendly to most people and was known by everyone on her dorm floor for loving to pull practical jokes.

Stephanie has always been known as a very talented dancer with very bad luck. Last year she twisted her ankle before the year's final performance and was unable to dance. Fed up with her bad luck, Stephanie has become very superstitious and carries her good luck charms with her wherever she goes.

Jessica is the daughter a dancer. Her mother never made it to the top and she is determined that Jessica will. As a result, Jessica has been dancing since she was 5 and entered the City Ballet School as soon as she was old enough to audition. She was considered to be the best dancer in the school and assured of a glorious future...until Chelsea came to the school this year.

Taylor has been teaching at City Ballet School for the past 2 years. Although she loves helping the teachers and demonstrating for the students when necessary, it is difficult to see girls having a chance to achieve the ambition which she never could.

Samantha has been known as a trouble-maker ever since her arrival at City Ballet School two years ago. She has always made it obvious that she doesn't care about rules but she does care about ballet. She and Chelsea were known for their many practical jokes...some of which weren't viewed as very funny.

Rachel is everyone's friend. She's easy to talk to and is always willing to lend a pair of tights or spare bobby pins to a girl in need. Quiet and shy, Rachel has learned many things about many people - some things which would shock many students at the school.

Megan and Chelsea were always together, sharing secrets and sharing tips. They were often seen in the rehearsal room late at night, practising their steps. A week ago they had a huge disagreement and the friendship seemed to end. No one knows what happened and Megan isn't telling.

Lauren's biggest dream has always been to be a ballerina. She started taking lessons when she was 5 and has always put ballet first. Lauren has always worked very hard and everyone has been impressed with her hard-won achievements. Lauren was to dance an important role in tonight's ballet, but she learned this morning that something has gone disastrously wrong.
