'A Knight's Quest'  Synopsis

This mystery is actually a scavenger hunt. Each of the quests will be a seperate scavenger hunt for a specific item. The evil knights will be instructed to interfere with the other teams in various ways that will all involve candy or treats of some kind.

King Arthur is dying. The Knight's of the Round Table have been called together. They are to be sent on 4 quests with the final goal of finding the Holy Grail, a magic cup that will heal the King. However, Mordred and his band of evil knights will be doing everything they can to stop the Knights of the Round Table from helping the King.

This was a great little boy party! They loved the theme! It was a little bit of "organized chaos" as they ran around with the candy. I think I may have hid the clues too well, not taking into account how crazy it would be when they were throwing the candy.

A Knight's Quest. EXCELLENT party for my son's 10th birthday party. The boys absolutely LOVED being in character. Buy extra licorice and gummies because the kids eat the ammunition! I recommend 3 to 4 adults for supervision, we had three. Can add the name of Uther Pendragon and Lady of the Lake for the other adults. Mom and Dad are Merlin and Arthur.

Characters


 Merlin
The King's sorcerer who will give the Knights the final clue to lead them to the Holy Grail.

This character should be played by an adult at the party, either male or female (who says Merlin has to be a man?). Between Quest 2 and 3 you will hide in one of the places indicated in one of the riddles found in Quest 2. After you are found you will use one of the remaining riddles to send the Knights off on their final quest for the Holy Grail.

King Arthur/Guinevere
The Host

As the host you are the King. remember that you are very ill. If a female is the host then you are Guinevere. Tell the Knights that the King is too sick to see them.

Ambrosius
You will lead a team of good knights

You are King Arthur's uncle. He has made you King of the Western lands of Britain. You will lead a team of good knights

Vortigern
You will lead a team of good knights

You were a king long before Arthur. You rule the land of Northumbria in northern Britain. You will lead a team of good Knights.

Lancelot
You will lead a tean of good knights

Without question you are the greatest knight. Unfortunately you are also in love with Queen Guinevere. You will lead a team of good knights.

Mordred
You will lead the team of evil knights

You think of yourself as a king. You want to be the king of Camelot. You hate your father, King Arthur. You will lead the team of evil knights.

Galahad
A member of Ambrosius's team of good knights

You are known as the purest of the knights. You are the son of Lancelot. You will be a member of Ambrosius's team of good knights.

Constantine
A member of Ambrosius's team of good knights

You are a cousin of King Arthur's. You are best known for killing your nephews, the sons of the evil knight Mordred. You will be a part of Ambrosius's team of good knights.

Bedwyr

Perhaps the hardest working of all the knights. You are always suspicious of people you don't know. You will be a part of Lancelot's team of knights.

Gareth

You are the son of King Lot of Cornwall but are not evil. You once saved a woman held hostage by four evil knights. You will be a part of Lancelot's team of knights.

Lot
A member of Mordred's team of evil knights.

You are the king of Cornwall but you follow Mordred. You have hated King Arthur since you were both boys. You will be a part of Mordred's team of evil knights.

Owain
A member of Mordred's team of evil,knights.

You are known as "the spy." Once a part of the Knights of the Round Table you were only there to spy for Lot. You will be a part of Mordred's team of evil knights.

Howel
